Philippe Mathieu est illustrateur bédéiste basé à Montréal. Lorsqu’il n’est pas à vélo, le Philippe illustre de manière caféiné la tasse du quotidien avec une lampée de Jazz et d’humour. Un arrière-gout de flânerie accompagne l’arôme visuelle. Il se tient au courant tout en se tenant loin des courants, sinon peut-être ceux des rivières de songes. Au-delà du toupet poétique, les jeux de mots infusent son travail. Autrement dit, images jazz collage feutre torréfiés d’humour colorié de flânerie bonne nuit à la prochaine rêverie. Philippe Mathieu is an illustrator based in Montreal. When he’s not biking, Philippe illustrates with humour the daily reality of a cup of jazz and the sound of coffee. He keeps up with work - often with his head in the clouds - but keeps his feet solid on the bike pedals and his hand holding a pen. Poet at times, his work is inspired by word play and the desire to not take himself too seriously. ☻
